All along the rocky trail, you’ll be stunned by the breathtaking views of the lush vegetation. In addition, you can make a stop half way to rest or to fill up your bottle with fresh water from the water tank available. 90 minutes later, you’ll reach your destination where you’ll discover a multitude of charming and cosy gites.
The flowery “cases creoles” are bordered with hundreds of banana trees. There are plenty of exotic fruits. To discourage hikers from picking fruits, a barbed wire fence has been placed along the path. You’ll spot an impressive waterfall, “La Cascade de la Mariée” which flows all year round. Should you fancy a change of scene, you can always go to Grand Bassin and discover the local way of life.
