Cinema

As far as cinema is concerned, one must admit that Réunion Island has been trailing behind for a long time. Films were frequently released in our cinemas much later than in mainland France. But, the arrival of multiplex theatres (Ciné Cambaie in Saint-Paul and Cinépalmes in Sainte-Marie) has changed everything. And yet, they cannot be compared with our traditional local cinemas that make up part of our cultural heritage.
