It was obviously eagerly awaited.  The water park, Oasis Lagoon has just opened its doors and it's already successful.  Let's head for a guided tour. 

Conveniently located near the harbour of Saint-Gilles les Bains, the water park, Oasis Lagoon delights the kids.  It can host up to three hundred visitors.  Its water-based recreation area of 400m² enchants the smaller ones.  With a 20cm water level, they can enjoy themselves from fountains to giant octopus to sea-lions and to water-eater fish.  A trained lifeguard supervises the place according to the safety rules. 
Parents can accompany their kids in the water or simply be seated along the poolside to watch over them.  The two other main attractions of the park are the two inflatable slides which ensure safety and big thrills are guaranteed. It has achieved a great success.              

A Family Park

You can spend an hour or a day there.  The Oasis Lagoon boasts two types of food outlets along the covered terraces: a savoury nook, a sandwich shop and a sweet nook, a sweet shop.  A "grill" area is at the planning stage, to offer an alternative to the traditional sandwich.  You can then spend a day with the kids in the shade of a tree or sunshades.     

A professional in leisure activities

Mr Accot, the project leader, is an expert in leisure activities: "I am in the leisure industry for 40 years as an entertainer."  Make the kids laugh is his job.  Besides, it's out of question to stop there, the park has to evolve.  He already offers birthday packages.  A theme park with fairground attraction situated next to the Oasis Lagoon is also being studied.
