One is not required to join the army nor be a tough one to play the paintball.  This tactical and mastery sport is suitable for everyone, if it is properly supervised.  Since last May, the enthusiasts of this sport may enjoy playing it across the site of Jamaica (behind the karting) in Saint-Denis.     

Long clothes, chest and neck protector, protective mask and ultimately, gloves, here is the traditional outfit of a paintball player. 
The gear consists of a marker, also known as a bowler-, a gun of 7^th category subject to the statement of the Prefecture.  If one plays the paintball as a hobby or for competition, one will be given a mechanical or electronic marker.  This equipment propels from compressed air or CO2 paintballs of 0, 68 caliber that consists of a gel capsule filled with food colours and -in view of the environment-, biodegradable.         

The aim of the game is simple: two opposing teams of 5 to 7 players each seeking to collect the flag found in the opposing camp and bring it in their respective camp.  A player is eliminated when he is hit by a paintball sniper leaving a trail of paint on part of the body or gear.      

It's not a dangerous sport!

For almost a year, paintball players can play on a 2500m² Jamaican field. 
"But one is likely to play the paintball in the forest of Brulé, upon request," underlined the manager of the organization, Rémy Técher.      
The enrollments are increasing and could even be higher if the sport did not suffer from its poor reputation.  "Yet, although it is quite supervised, the paintball is not a dangerous sport" said Rémy Técher.  And if men are more likely to play the paintball, we can however note that there are more and more girls.  There are around 60% men against 40% girls at the club of Saint-Denis.  It's almost the equality for a sport that keeps on having enthusiasts.
