Sweet delicacies at the cirque

Let's head towards Cilaos along with its 400 bends, to taste the local and original sweets of Sylvie.  Having a nice greedy idea to highlight the local products, in the midst of the awesome alchemies the Canne Bourbon shop opened its doors in 2004.  Let's pop in.

t200 Le rose trone sur les etageresIt's not "Charlie and the chocolate factory," but it looks like one as the Canne Bonbon shop is equally magic.  Here, the delights are sweet, have original flavours, anything to tickle the taste buds of even the least enthusiasts.  Sylvie, the creative has very good taste.  After having followed a training on the island and a confectionery course in mainland France, her creations do not fail to attract us.  The original delicacies are made in the workshop of the shop, leaving a fragrance of chocolate, vanilla, rum, caramel and geranium which emanates from the pot...An initial delight.

The queen of the jellies

Tt200 Sylvie dans l atelier de la boutique Canne Bonbon a Cilaoshe specialty of Sylvie is the sugar cane melting with vanilla and aged rum, a creamy and tasty spread.  One comes from afar to buy these delicacies.  The shop is especially renowned for its wide array of jellies.  A few of them are: the jelly of the wine of cilaos, passion fruit jelly, geranium with a floral note jelly, white  tea jelly  and ginger with paprika jelly...One can also spot caramel, nougat and lollipop at the counter and on the shelves...of course all of them are home made.

A local delicatessen

Sylvie wished that her shop becomes a local delicatessen, offering delicacies with creative tastes.  She already offers wine Cilaos, white tea and honey from Réunion Island, preparations for the "rhum arrangé" and pickled onions...  The delicacies keep on taking new dimension.  Only good taste!
