There is a training centre in Reunion Island where you can learn about marine craft.  Being the only one in the island, the “Ecole d’Apprentissage Maritime (EAMR)” is located at Le Port.  The “EAMR” offers introductory and continuous training.  In 2005, more than 34 fishermen and sailors obtained their diplomas.  The school offers a wide range of certificates from nautical training to a mechanical 750kW diploma.
