An awesome site which overlooks onto the lagoon, La Bobine restaurant is an institution in Réunion Island.  One cannot pass by without taking a break.   

For several decades, this beach restaurant is full both at lunch and dinner.  One must admit that it's a nice place to sip a cocktail or sample a grilled fish whilst enjoying the sound of the waves.  Its sunsets are absolutely romantic.  Being at La Bobine makes ones feel on holiday.  Goodbye to traffic jams; let's take a breath of sea air whilst being comfortably seated within an elegant setting.     

An expert in Fish cooking

Daniel, the director of the restaurant informs us, "our products are not frozen.  The fish is always fresh. And it's in season."  The specialty of La Bobine: a wide variety of fish menu, including the red tuna.  It is either grilled, dipped in tartar sauce or served as salad.  Another specialty of the establishment: the three flavoured dishes featuring a stewed lobster, prawns and Patagonian toothfish. A multitude of sauces are served with the dishes to enhance their flavours.  The meat lovers will not be disappointed as barbeque and the traditional curry are featured both at lunch and dinner.

Besides the restaurant, the snack of La Bobine offers another alternative.  To have a quick lunch from 11 00am to 06 00pm in the shade of the coconut tree and filaos.  "The snack is faster.  We offer salads, sweet and savoury pancakes and grilled meat...there is even a menu at 8€.  It is prepared by the same chef of the restaurant," summed up Daniel.  One can relish a delicious meal at a very cheap price, and on top of that, you've got a wonderful view.
