There were lots of people on the green this weekend.  For the first edition of the Novarhes Travel Trophy at the Golf Club de Bourbon in Etang-Salé, the organizer and travel agency, bearing the same name, has scored points.  Two days of greatly lead competition and a success that suggests a far lengthy existence to our young tournament.  Back to pictures.       

174 golfers were present on both days of competition, whereof 48 were women.  They fight tooth and nail in a blazing sun.  The weather was nice, all for the better, one won't complain.  We have witnessed a magical "swing," sometimes the beauty of the gesture verges perfection.  An 18-hole Stableford was organised so that everyone can participate.  A course which is far from being easy.  The golf requires a strong calf muscle and one should not take it for granted.  Along its 6476 meters, the Golf Club de Bourbon bristles with traps, here and there, hence ensuring a colourful show.  The top of the bills like Edouard Sans, have made the best shots to be in top of the ranks.

Nothing pleases us as these little cares.  That's the goal of Novarhes Travel.  All the participants went back home with their "Welcome Bag."  Bearing the name of the travel agency, the bag consists of documents on tourists destinations, notably on the Special China Olympic Games, a towel, a ball with the logo of the agency (the collectors will be thrilled) and much more.  The first ones of the three round of "men" and those from the two "women round" went back home with golf material - from bag to balls.           

A new bag, right for Elisabeth Pousse who visibly has not won for the first time, said André Bigot, the managing director of Novarhes Travel.   

Of course, which says travel agency says trip.  A drawing lot has enabled one of the participants, Karen Mak-Yuen to win two return tickets Réunion Island/Mauritius, two green fees at Tamarina Golf in Mauritius and a stay at La Mariposa.  A dream epilogue for our lucky one.   

 "I'll come back next year"

At the time of the results, they were all smiling whilst enjoying a pawpaw cocktail.  We tried to spot a few unhappy or grumpy ones, but in vain.  The Novarhes Travel trophy achieved a real success.  Patrick Senez, 21 years old has made 33 gross shots, sums up pretty well the atmosphere of the tournament: "The competition went on smoothly, the hosting great and the organization perfect.  It was a perfect course.  The atmosphere was relaxed and convivial.  I'll come back next year."  Everything is said.
