The 7th March: a few activities for this weekend

Contemporary drama
"Dt200 dolores claiborneolorès Claibone" in Saint-Denis

Being the daughter of Professor Choron, master of all types of black humour, Michèle Bernier first heads towards a career as a lawyer, but she later discovered the theatre thanks to a friend.  She meets her future associates, namely Isabelle de Botton and Mimy Mathy at the "Petit Théatre de Bouvard" and stage the successful comedy "les filles existent en trois tailles."  This adventure lasts seven years up till June 1993.  She enacts "Le démon de minuit" by herself and then finds herself playing a different style with "Dolorès Claibone."  To celebrate the women's day, a famous play derived from the horror and fantasy master, Stephen King will be played on the 8th March at the Champ Fleuri theatre in Réunion Island.
The story is simple: we never really knew what has happened on the day of the eclipse in Little Tall Island 20 years ago and whether the accident that cost the life of Joe, the husband of Dolorès was really an accident...  Today, Dolorès is again suspected: the rich and senile Véra Donovan whom is the housekeeper for 30 years has been discovered dead in her house.

Drama
"Epilogue d'une trottoire" in Saint-Denis

t200 epilogue d une trottoireCreated in last November in Bonlieu (Scène Nationale d'Annecy in Mainland France), "Epilogue d'une trottoire" is the last act of the epilogues' trilogy (after the "Epilogue des noyés" and the "Epilogue des ventres"), of this native writer of Mayotte, Alain Kamal Martial.
These scripts cycle depicts the status of the prostitutes, transcribed through words.  "Dans un meme temps qu'elle agonise" portrays an anonymous African prostitute along the pavement of the area Tsaralalàna in Antananarivo. She relates her condition a while after a client has beaten her.  This "pavement" like it is said in Madagascar, speaks for those who have not the right to, hence a language recreating things to resist to an inner death.  A revolt's cry of the Malagasy pavement that turns out to be heartbreaking.

Comedy
"Miss Fonnkèr 2008" featuring Marie-Alice Sinaman in Saint-Paul and in Tampont200 miss fonnker

Alice, Miss Sobatkoz 2007 and Miss Fonnker 2008 might be relieved of her title because of a picture published in the front page of the magazine "La pa vu."  A support committee has been established by the former miss.  There is freedom of expression and everyone moves on according to ones experience as being an Ex Miss litchis, christophines, tuning and so on.   All these are lame excuses to meet these various Réunionese women who has shined but who today lives without spangles with their husbands, child, job along with worries and happiness.
"Public, vien sobat pou son couronne."

Thursday 6th and Friday 7th March at the cultural centre of Leconte-de-Lisle in Saint-Paul (5, rue Eugène Dayot), then on Saturday at the same time in Luc Donat theatre (20 rue Victor le Vigoureux) in Tampon.

A contemporary dancing show
La Kour de Nadjani Danse Compagnie in Saint-André

t200 la kourA strong solo choreography.  Nikunja plays the chords of the "delruba" in an exquisitely mesmerizing way along with the percussions rhythm of Jean Yves Padeau.   Hence, it's a choreography that is always inquisitive and yearns for new experiences.  Nadjani travels in the memory of her "space" ("kour").  Here there is no figurative representation, but rather a ritual, spirit invocation of space, living and memory area, social and family unity, a place for the stranger, the unknown.
Choreographer-singer: Nadjani Bulin Ebner.
Music and video: Nikinja (delruba)
