the The Good Tips

Territorial Continuity: helping the residents of Reunion Island to go to Mainland France

You are not taxable and you are between 18 and 30 years old.  And you need to go to Mainland France for medical reasons, for work…or you are more than 60 years old…Good news: the regional council offers its financial help to pay for your flights in order to show their engagement in the territorial continuity.  Explanations.

Avoid missing your morning flight: spend a night at Saint Denis on the eve

In Reunion Island, the traffic jams are legendary and this will be the case as long as the Tamarinds road is inaccessible (so at least until the end of 2008).  It is a factor which needs to be taken into account when one moves around.  Particularly, when one has an early flight in the morning from the Roland-Garros airport (anciently known as “Gillot”),

How to access the Internet (almost) for free and (nearly) everywhere?

It is simple: search for a cyber base or “Point d'information Jeunesse (PIJ)”.  They are found in the main towns on the island.  Indeed, these two options (the first one driven by the general council, the second one by the region itself) make the island one of the French territories the best equipped for internet access in public places. Access is either free or very cheap, and in addition, a moderator will assist you.

Drink or drive: you have to choose…tonight you have decided to party. Vol de nuit will fix up everything for you. Every day as from 7 pm to 5 in the morning, the team of Vol de Nuit does a round trip between your place, restaurants, bars and nightclubs of Saint-Gilles-Les-Bains.
