BIENVENUE DANS LA COMMUNE DE : SAINT-PIERRE
Saint-Pierre, capital town of the south has managed to keep its typical creole charm. An ancient loft dating back to from the East India Company acts as the town hall. Saint-Pierre is a nice place, full of hustle and bustle.
The harmony between the different ethnies and cultures is much more visible here than in the other “communes” of the island. In 1998, the second airport of the island was built. Saint-Pierre has become a real seaside resort: the city has a lagoon, a marina (fully renovated in 2000) and a fishing port in Terre Sainte.
Saint-Pierre has also one of the loveliest tamil temples of the island as well as a famous mosque.
